The rates on this website are often heavily discounted. This is due to our negotiated rates and bulk buying power. On very rare occasions, a rate may be displayed incorrectly due to our, or a vehicle supplier's error. In such a case, if you book with us at a quoted rate that is incorrect, we will notify you of any price change and give you the option to proceed or cancel. We make every effort to keep information on our site up to date, but we cannot guarantee this website is free of errors or omissions and retain the right to update or change the information published at any time.

Liability
To the extent permitted by law we/the owners of this website will not be liable to you or to any third party (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage (including but not limited to any accident, injury, delay or loss of enjoyment) arising out of your reliance upon information contained on this website, including but not limited to your use (or inability to use) any products or services described or procured through this website.

When you pick up your vehicle, you will be required to sign a rental agreement with the supplier of the vehicle. While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure we are representing only reputable suppliers, we make no warranty about the fitness or suitability of any third party (supplier) product or service and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness of any vehicle. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.

Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

Booking information
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice.

If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

Information disclosure
In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental services.

Vehicle capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.

Refund Policy
In the event of cancellation, any deposit amounts paid at the time of booking are non-refundable. 

Disputes
If you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due. In the event you have completed your rental and are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to assist you in seeking compensation from the operator of the vehicle.

Avis USA information


Avis USA Rental Terms

Age Information
At corporate and participating licensee locations in the U.S., Avis will rent to customers between the ages of 21-24 with a valid credit card and driver’s license.  There is a 27.00 per day underage surcharge for renters 21-24. Additionally, the following restrictions will also apply for renters between the ages of 21-24: Renters of luxury cars, mini-van, 12-passenger vans, specialty cars, full size SUV’s and premium SUV’s will not be permitted.
In New York State, the minimum age to rent is 18 with a $52.00 per day surcharge for renters age 18-20 and a $35 per day surcharge for renters age 21-24. In Michigan the minimum age is 18 with a $41 per day surcharge for renters between the ages of 18-20 and $28 per day surcharge for customers between the ages of 21-24. 
Minimum age and underage surcharges can vary at licensee locations. It is best to check with the reservation team on the minimum age policy and restrictions at the location you are renting from if you are under 25.

 

Additional Drivers
In all states other than California, Nevada and New York, the charge for additional drivers is $13 per day per additional driver with a maximum charge of $65 per rental per driver. The additional driver fee in New York is $3 per day per additional driver. The additional driver fee in Nevada is $11 per day per additional driver, with a maximum charge of $55. There is no additional driver fee in California. 
At the time of rental the additional driver must:
    • Be at least 25 years of age
    • Present a valid driver’s license
    • Complete and sign an additional driver form
    • Present valid credit identification (acceptable charge card or debit card, or a valid foreign passport and return ticket)


Exception to Standard Requirements
Tour Rates: The minimum age for an additional driver traveling with an inbound tour rate is 21. An inbound tour customer is one who resides outside the U.S., U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and Canada who is renting on a net or gross inbound tour rate.
The following must also be at least 25 years of age but are exempt from the additional driver fee and are not required to complete and sign an additional driver form:
    • Renter’s employer or regular fellow employee while on company business
    • Renter’s spouse or domestic partner
    • Disabled renters who have completed a non-licensed renter form

 

Payment Options
Avis accepts most major credit cards as credit identification at time of rental including:

Debit Cards
All corporate and participating locations will accept a debit card with a MasterCard or Visa logo at the time of rental if you are at least 25 years of age. *At airport locations you will be required to show proof of a return airline flight that corresponds with your rental. You will be subject to a credit check to determine and ensure credit worthiness before releasing the car to you. If we are unable to complete the credit check or if the credit check fails, customer should be prepared to present a major credit card in their own name. 
Debit cards are not acceptable as credit identification at the time of rental for all makes and models identified in the Avis Specialty or Signature Series and for certain other premium vehicles. 
Avis will generally request an authorization hold against your account for the estimated charges of the rental but reserves the right in its sole discretion to request an extra value to be based on certain factors as we deem appropriate.  These funds will not be available for your use. When the rental is over we will process the reversal but the bank may take time to post it back to your account. 
If you fail to return the vehicle as agreed, Avis will obtain additional authorizations from your account to cover the rental charges. 
Avis is not responsible for any returned checks or over-drafts based on this policy.
Positive identification in addition to your driver’s license may be required.
Debit, cash or check cards can be used at the end of rental for payment of rental charges.  
*Exception – A credit/debit card is required for locations in Brownsville, Corpus Christi, Edinburg, Harlingen, Laredo, McAllen, Mission, South Padre Island and Victoria, Texas.  Cash rentals are NOT allowed at the beginning or as payment at the end of the rental.
Prepaid debit or gift cards are not acceptable methods of credit identification to pick up a car at any location. One of the above mentioned cards must be presented. Prepaid debit/gift cards are accepted at time of return only.
*Exception Locations - The airports in these cities listed below will not require the return airline ticket or flight itinerary at the time of rental. They will continue to follow the current debit card requirement policy.

Taking your vehicle outside the Country
United States: Corporate and participating licensee locations will allow the vehicle to be driven throughout the continental United States without restrictions. Based on availability, one-way rentals may be allowed to some U.S. cities. 
Canada: Vehicles may be driven into Canada with no restrictions. The rental counter must be notified at the time of rental that you plan to drive into Canada so we can provide a Canadian non-resident insurance card (provided at no cost). Based on availability one-way rentals may be allowed to certain Canadian cities.
Mexico:  At participating border cities, corporate account customers are allowed to drive the vehicle into Mexico with certain restrictions. Check with the location for details.

 

Waiver and Protection Options
Acceptance of Loss Damage Waiver relieves the renter and authorized additional drivers of responsibility for loss of, or damage to the Avis car, when they comply with the terms and conditions listed on the rental document jacket. At the time of rental the customer must initial whether he/she accepts or declines the LDW and optional services. LDW and optional services must be signed for at the rental counter. LDW is taxable.
If LDW is not accepted, the customer is financially responsible for the full value of:
    • Accident Damage
    • Glass Damage
    • Stolen items (radio, battery, etc. )
    • Vandalism
    • Theft of the car


Exceptions
In Wisconsin, if LDW is not accepted, the renter is liable for all loss or damage to the Avis car due to an accident or reckless, wanton behavior.
In Illinois, if LDW is not accepted, the customer is financially responsible for the following types of damage, up to a maximum of $16,000 for rentals:
    • Accident damage
    • Glass damage
    • Stolen items (radio, battery, etc.)
    • Vandalism
    • Theft of the car


Canceling LDW
Once LDW has been purchased it must remain on the contract. The customer has the option to return the car and close the rental agreement, however, this could change the rate for the rental agreement, and a different, possibly higher, rate could apply for a new rental.


Exceptions
Customers who rent in New York and purchase LDW in New York can decide to cancel the service at no charge within specific guidelines. 
    • Rental must be 2 days or more
    • The cancellation must be within the first 24 hours of the rental
    • The actual renter must take the car to an Avis location for inspection and must sign a cancellation notice.


Loss of Use
The customer may also be responsible for reimbursing Avis for the revenue lost by not being able to use the car while it is being repaired or not recovered due to theft (referred to as Loss of Use).


Damage to people and their property
Public Liability covers injury or death to a third party (persons outside the Avis vehicle). Property Damage covers damage to property other than the Avis vehicle and the renter’s, driver’s or passenger’s property.
Depending on the location the Avis will provide primary, secondary or no coverage up to the minimum limits required by law in that state.  The Rental Document will state what type of coverage is provided.


Primary Coverage
If the location offers primary coverage then the protection is included in the Avis rate at no additional charge to the customer.


Secondary Coverage
If the location offers secondary coverage, the customer’s personal liability insurance will be used first. The Avis protection will be secondary to any other applicable coverage, up to the state minimums, and will not apply until the renter’s or driver’s insurance, if any, has been exhausted.  Avis will provide primary coverage if the optional Additional Liability Insurance (ALI) is purchased.


No Coverage
At all corporate locations in California and Texas, liability coverage will be the responsibility of the renter/driver in the event of a third party claim for injury, death, or property damage. 
Renters may provide coverage through their own insurance policy or purchase the optional Additional Liability Insurance (ALI).


Third Party Liability
Third party liability protection for bodily injury and property damage provides up to a combined single limit of $1,000,000 for each accident inclusive of any third party liability protection afforded under the Rental Agreement.


Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)
Personal Accident Insurance provides accidental death and medical expense benefits to the renter and all passengers on the Avis car.  The renter is covered for accidental bodily injuries during the entire term of the rental agreement (24 hours a day).  The passengers are covered while in the car and while entering & exiting the car.

Personal Effects Protection (PEP)
PEP insures the personal belongings accompanying the renter and immediate family members who are traveling with the renter. Items must be for personal use and not used in business. Certain types of personal effects are not covered under this policy, such as motorcycles, boats and motors, currency, coins, deeds, bullion, stamps, securities, tickets or documents.


PEP Benefits
In the state of New York, the maximum coverage per individual is $500 per claim, with a maximum coverage for all individuals of $1,500. At all other corporate locations, the maximum coverage per individual is $600 per claim with a maximum coverage for all individuals of $1800.

 

Driving License and ID Requirements
A valid driver’s license from the country of residence and an acceptable credit or debit card is required (see the Payment Options section for more information) An International driving permit is also required for licenses  with a non-roman alphabet.
Renters who have indicated a country of residence outside of the United States or Canada will be required to present the following at the time of rental to qualify for the quoted rate:
    • A driver’s license and passport issued outside of the United States or Canada
    • A return airline ticket


Fuel Charges
The vehicle is rented with a full tank of gas and must be returned with a full tank of gas or there will be a charge for refueling. If you have refueled please keep your receipt for verification purposes.
Most locations offer a prepaid gas option to purchase a full tank at market value which allows the customer to return the vehicle without a full tank of gas.  There is no refund for unused gas.
If the vehicle is driven less than 75 miles there is a $13.99 refueling fee unless a gas receipt is presented at the time of return.


e-Tolls
If you do not pay cash for any tolls, you automatically opt into our e-Toll service. You agree to pay for all tolls incurred during your rental and all related fees, charges and penalties. Under the e-toll program, once you pass through an electronic toll, you will pay a convenience fee of $3.95 for each day of the entire rental, including any days on which an e-toll is not used, up to a maximum of $19.75 per rental month, plus the incurred tolls at the maximum prevailing rates posted by the toll authority. You can avoid the convenience fee and any other charges by paying the toll in cash or avoiding any cashless toll road or passage. Please be aware of any “cashless toll roads”. Drivers on these roads are not able to pay cash once they have entered these roads. Driving on these roads will opt you into our e-Toll service. E-toll charges and the convenience fee will be billed to the credit/debit card on file with us. The charges may take 4-8 weeks after the rental to be billed to your credit/debit card.


Extended Roadside
Extended Roadside offers fast, dependable rescue service for our renters for a daily charge. It is offered to our customers at time of rental and provides roadside assistance for lost keys and remote entry device lockouts, flat tire service, towing (if the vehicle is inoperable), jump starts and emergency fuel delivery (up to 3 gallons). 
The cost of replacing a key for most vehicles is at least $100. Locksmith charges range by area. In addition to the cost of keys, there is a tow charge or delivery fee that can range from $50 to $250 depending on the distance. By accepting the Extended Roadside Service you won’t have to worry about incurring additional expense for the listed items while on the road.


One Way Rentals 
Based on availability one-way rentals are allowed between cities within the United States.  A one-way fee may apply.


Returns
If you want to extend the rental or wish to return the vehicle to a different location please contact us as soon as possible. At the latest, this should be before the end date and time on your rental agreement. You will be advised whether the change is possible and any additional costs when you call.
If you fail to extend your rental you will be charged the prevailing pay at location prices for the extra days as well as a late return administration fee of $10 for each day or part of a day until the vehicle is returned.   
If you return the vehicle to a different location then you agreed to at time of rental your rate could default to a different rate available on the day you return the vehicle and a one way fee will be applied.

Budget USA Rental Terms

Age Information

Geographic Driving Restrictions
United States: Corporate and participating licensee locations will allow the vehicle to be driven throughout the continental United States without restrictions. Based on availability, one-way rentals may be allowed to some U.S. cities. 
Canada: Vehicles rented at corporate and participating licensee locations may be driven into Canada with no restrictions. The rental counter must be notified at the time of rental that you plan to drive into Canada so we can provide a Canadian non-resident insurance card (provided at no cost). Based on availability one-way rentals may be allowed to certain Canadian cities.
Mexico:  At participating border cities in California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas, corporate account customers are allowed to drive the vehicle into Mexico with certain restrictions.

Waiver and Protection Options
Acceptance of Loss Damage Waiver relieves the renter and authorized additional drivers of responsibility for loss of, or damage to the Budget car, when they comply with the terms and conditions listed on the rental document jacket. At the time of rental the customer must initial whether he/she accepts or declines the LDW and optional services. LDW and optional services must be signed for at the rental counter. LDW is taxable.
If LDW is not accepted, the customer is financially responsible for the full value of:
    • Accident Damage
    • Glass Damage
    • Stolen items (radio, battery, etc.)
    • Vandalism
    • Theft of the car


Exceptions
In Wisconsin, if LDW is not accepted, the renter is liable for all loss or damage to the Budget car due to an accident or reckless, wanton behavior.
In Illinois, if LDW is not accepted, the customer is financially responsible for the following types of damage, up to a maximum of $16,000 for rentals:
    • Accident damage
    • Glass damage
    • Stolen items (radio, battery, etc.)
    • Vandalism
    • Theft of the car


Canceling LDW
Once LDW has been purchased it must remain on the contract. The customer has the option to return the car and close the rental agreement, however, this could change the rate for the rental agreement, and a different, possibly higher, rate could apply for a new rental.


Exceptions
Customers who rent in New York and purchase LDW in New York can decide to cancel the service at no charge within specific guidelines. 
    • Rental must be 2 days or more
    • The cancellation must be within the first 24 hours of the rental
    • The actual renter must take the car to a Budget location for inspection and must sign a cancellation notice.
Loss of Use
The customer may also be responsible for reimbursing Budget for the revenue lost by not being able to use the car while it is being repaired or not recovered due to theft (referred to as Loss of Use).


Damage to people and their property
Public Liability covers injury or death to a third party (persons outside the Budget vehicle). Property Damage covers damage to property other than the Budget vehicle and the renter’s, driver’s or passenger’s property.
Depending on the location Budget will provide primary, secondary or no coverage up to the minimum limits required by law in that state.  The Rental Document will state what type of coverage is provided.


Primary Coverage
If the location offers primary coverage then the protection is included in the rate at no additional charge to the customer.


Secondary Coverage
If the location offers secondary coverage, the customer’s personal liability insurance will be used first. The Budget protection will be secondary to any other applicable coverage, up to the state minimums, and will not apply until the renter’s or driver’s insurance, if any, has been exhausted.  Budget will provide primary coverage if the optional Additional Liability Insurance (ALI) is purchased.


No Coverage
At all corporate locations in California and Texas, liability coverage will be the responsibility of the renter/driver in the event of a third party claim for injury, death, or property damage. 
Renters may provide coverage through their own insurance policy or purchase the optional Additional Liability Insurance (ALI).


Third Party Liability
Third party liability protection for bodily injury and property damage provides up to a combined single limit of $1,000,000 for each accident inclusive of any third party liability protection afforded under the Rental Agreement.


Personal Accident and Effects Insurance (PAE)
Personal Accident Insurance provides accidental death and medical expense benefits to the renter and all passengers in the Budget car.  The renter is covered for accidental bodily injuries during the entire term of the rental agreement (24 hours a day).  The passengers are covered while in the car and while entering & exiting the car.

In addition, PAE insures the personal belongings accompanying the renter and immediate family members who are traveling with the renter. Items must be for personal use and not used in business. Certain types of personal effects are not covered under this policy, such as motorcycles, boats and motors, currency, coins, deeds, bullion, stamps, securities, tickets or documents.
In the state of New York, the maximum coverage for personal belongings per individual is $500 per claim, with a maximum coverage for all individuals of $1,500. At all other corporate locations, the maximum coverage per individual is $600 per claim with a maximum coverage for all individuals of $1800.

 

Driving License and ID Requirements
A valid driver’s license from the country of residence and an acceptable credit or debit card is required (see the Payment Options section for more information) An International driving permit is also required for licenses  with a non-roman alphabet.
Renters who have indicated a country of residence outside of the United States or Canada will be required to present the following at the time of rental to qualify for the quoted rate:
    • A driver’s license and passport issued outside of the United States or Canada
    • A return airline ticket

 

Fuel Charges
The vehicle is rented with a full tank of gas and must be returned with a full tank of gas or there will be a charge for refueling. If you have refueled please keep your receipt for verification purposes.
Most locations offer a prepaid gas option to purchase a full tank at market value which allows the customer to return the vehicle without a full tank of gas.  There is no refund for unused gas.
If the vehicle is driven less than 75 miles there is a $13.99 refueling fee unless a gas receipt is presented at the time of return.

 

e-Tolls
If you do not pay cash for any tolls, you automatically opt into our e-Toll service. You agree to pay for all tolls incurred during your rental and all related fees, charges and penalties. Under the e-toll program, once you pass through an electronic toll, you will pay a convenience fee of $3.95 for each day of the entire rental, including any days on which an e-toll is not used, up to a maximum of $19.75 per rental month, plus the incurred tolls at the maximum prevailing rates posted by the toll authority. You can avoid the convenience fee and any other charges by paying the toll in cash or avoiding any cashless toll road or passage. Please be aware of any “cashless toll roads”. Drivers on these roads are not able to pay cash once they have entered these roads. Driving on these roads will opt you into our e-Toll service. E-toll charges and the convenience fee will be billed to the credit/debit card on file with us. The charges may take 4-8 weeks after the rental to be billed to your credit/debit card.

 

Extended Roadside
Extended Roadside offers fast, dependable rescue service for our renters for a daily charge. It is offered to our customers at time of rental and provides roadside assistance for lost keys and remote entry device lockouts, flat tire service, towing (if the vehicle is inoperable), jump starts and emergency fuel delivery (up to 3 gallons). 
The cost of replacing a key for most vehicles is at least $100. Locksmith charges range by area. In addition to the cost of keys, there is a tow charge or delivery fee that can range from $50 to $250 depending on the distance. By accepting the Extended Roadside Service you won’t have to worry about incurring additional expense for the listed items while on the road.

 

One Way Rentals 
Based on availability one-way rentals are allowed between cities within the United States.  A one-way fee may apply.

 

Returns
If you want to extend the rental or wish to return the vehicle to a different location please contact us as soon as possible. At the latest, this should be before the end date and time on your rental agreement. You will be advised whether the change is possible and any additional costs when you call.
If you fail to extend your rental you will be charged the prevailing pay at location prices for the extra days as well as a late return administration fee of $10 for each day or part of a day until the vehicle is returned.   
If you return the vehicle to a different location then you agreed to at time of rental your rate could default to a different rate available on the day you return the vehicle and a one way fee will be applied.

Drivo Rent A Car Rental Terms

PAYMENT
An initial, non-refundable deposit will be secured at the time of booking confirmation. Accepted credit cards for the deposit are Visa and MasterCard.

The balance is to be paid directly to the supplier on arrival. Credit cards accepted by the supplier are Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discovery.

CANCELLATION
The deposit is non refundable. If you cancel a reservation prior to 24 hours before the pick-up time, you will be subject to a $50 cancellation fee. If a reservation is cancelled less than 24 hours prior to the pick-up time, you forfeit the entire amount of the reservation.

ADDITIONAL DRIVERS
Additional authorized operators can be added at the time of rental or at any Drivo rental location. The primary renter and each Additional Authorized Operator must be present to sign the rental agreement and must meet normal rental qualifications, such as showing a valid driver license, and meeting all age requirements.

Additional Driver Fees: USD 10.00 per day for each Additional Authorized Operator.

AFTER HOURS
After hours you can drop off keys with Park Plus representative.

AGE
Renters and additional drivers must be at least 21 years of age with valid driver license and major credit card issued in their own name. For renters who are 21-24 years old an age differential charge of 20 USD/day will apply.

DRIVERS LICENSE
An acceptable valid driver license issued from your country of residence must be presented at the time of rental. The driver license must be valid for the entire rental period. If the driver license is in a language other than English, an international driver permit is recommended. In all cases, a valid driver license issued from your home country must be provided, whether or not you possess an international driver permit. You will not be allowed to rent an Drivo vehicle with only an international driver permit.

EQUIPMENT
Child Seats Infant (CSI) - Infant seats are available for back seat use only. The cost is 11.99 USD/day with a 70 USD maximum. The infant seats are for infants from 5-20 pounds up to 26 inches long. The renter will be provided with the manufacturers installation instructions at the counter so he/she can correctly install the seat.

Child Seat Toddler (CST) - Toddler seats are available for back seat use only. The cost is 11.99 USD/day, maximum 70 USD. Toddler seats are for children weighing from 20-40 pounds up to 40 inches tall. The renter will be provided with the manufacturers installation instructions at the counter so he/she can correctly install the seat.

Child Seat Booster (BST) - Booster seats are available for back seat use only. The cost is 11.99 USD/day, maximum 70 USD. The booster seats are for children weighing from 40-100 pounds, from 35-54 inches tall.

Navigational System (NAV) - Portable GPS systems are available. Replacement cost for lost units will be 200 USD.

GAS
Drivo has 2 refueling options available to meet your needs. 1) FUEL NOW - you may purchase a tank of gas from Drivo at the time of rental and return the vehicle with as little gas as you like. Please be aware that we are unable to issue a refund for unused fuel. However, this method eliminates the need for you to refuel the tank prior to returning. 2) FUEL LATER - You can let us refuel for you. You pay for the fuel required to replace the fuel you used and for the service and convenience of refueling the tank. 3) SELF SERVE - Car must be returned with the same amount of fuel as when picked up. If not, a per gallon fuel charge will apply.

INSURANCE
Minimum Liability Insurance as required by state law is included

OPTIONAL PROTECTION PRODUCTS
Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) is available for an additional daily charge for each rental day. SLI is a secondary insurance product that picks up where primary liability (state statutory limits) leaves off. When combined with primary liability coverage, SLI provides the renter and any authorized driver up to $1,000,000 of liability protection for third party claims due to bodily injury or property damage. In order for SLI to pay on a claim, however, the state statutory limits must first at least be satisfied. The policy will respond only after all other available insurance has been exhausted.

Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) coverage is available in combination with Personal Effects Coverage (PEC) for an additional daily charge for each rental day. PAI coverage: Benefit Schedule Renter/Each Passenger Accidental Death USD 250,000.00 / USD 100,000.00, Accidental Medical Expenses (reimbursed) not to exceed USD 2,500.00, Ambulance Expenses not to exceed USD 500.00. Total benefits for any one accident are limited to USD 458,000.00 and are payable in addition to any other coverage for which you, authorized drivers or your passengers are eligible. However, your benefits provided by other coverage may be affected by the PAI benefits. If this coverage is accepted, the benefits for you apply to all accidental injuries during your rental period, regardless of whether you are actually in the car. Your passengers are also covered, but only for incidents occurring while they occupy the Advantage rental car.

Personal Effects Coverage (PEC), offered in combination with PAI, is an option that insures against risk of theft or damage to help protect your personal belongings while renting from Drivo. The maximum coverage per person is USD 750.00 with the maximum total benefit for any one occurrence, regardless of the number of persons, being USD 2,000.00. There is no deductible for PEC.

Please note that PAI and PEC are not available separately and must be taken in combination.

Some exclusions and coverage conditions will apply. Please see counter agent and brochure for terms and conditions of the above products.

Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) is available for purchase at the time of rental. In most states, in the event of any other loss or damage to the car, regardless of fault, your financial responsibility extends to the full value of the car at the time of rental, less its salvage value, plus expenses for towing, storage impound fees, an administrative fee and a reasonable charge for loss of use. If your responsibility differs in the state in which you rent, it will be stated in Paragraph 4 of the Rental Agreement.

Your responsibility for theft of the car shall not exceed the reasonable costs incurred by Drivo for loss due to theft up to its fair market value, if it is established that you or any authorized operator failed to exercise reasonable care or aided or abetted in the theft.

PAYMENT
Drivo accepts the following form of payments: most major credit/charge cards, and most debit cards. Cash is an acceptable form of payment at time of return., not at time of rental. Acceptable charge cards include American Express / MasterCard /Discover / Visa / BankAmericard / Optima Amex. Credit cards must have the available credit for the estimated amount of rental charges plus up to $300 in order to secure the rental. Debit/check cards must have the available funds of the estimated amount of rental charges plus up to $500 in order to secure the rental. Eligible debit cards must have Visa, MasterCard or Discover logo. Stored value/prepaid/gift cards are not acceptable to qualify for rental however these cards may be used for payment at return.

Please note that at the time of rental you will need to present 1) a current driver license and 2) a valid credit or charge card in the renters name. Use of a debit card to rent a vehicle is subject to review of your credit history at the time of your rental. (Note: A confirmation of your reservation does not mean that your debit/check card is acceptable to Drivo).

Excess and Security
Drivo requires Security deposit hold of $200 credit card and $350 on debit card

NOTE: Refunds of your deposit or any other funds owed to you are posted by Drivo upon close of your contract when you return the vehicle. However, depending on your financial institution, can take up to 21 days to process.

RESERVATIONS
Reservations cannot be modified.
The initial deposit paid is non-refundable. In addition to forfeiting your deposit, the following charges also apply:
If you cancel a reservation prior to 3 days before the pick-up time, you will be subject to a $50 cancellation fee. If a reservation is cancelled less than 3 days prior to the pick-up time, you forfeit the entire amount of the reservation.

Special consideration should be given when using a debit card to pay for Pay Now reservations as it can take up to 21 business days for your financial institution to process refunds. Debit card use also requires a credit check and can result in a denial of the rental.

SHUTTLE
The Drivo counter is located at the Park Plus airport parking lot, approximately 1 mile from the airport. For shuttle service from Newark Airport please proceed to A,B,C or P4 Terminal. The Park Plus and Drivo Rent-A-Car shuttle will pick you up and drop you off at the location. The shuttle runs every 20 minutes on the hour or on demand call us 973-273-1500, weather permitting.

TRAVELING TO CANADA
Drivo vehicles may be driven into Canada. They do not require presentation of liability protection letters, certificates or stickers at customs. A passport is now required to enter Canada. Canadian customs and excise regulations prohibit Canadian residents from driving United States rental vehicles in Canada and returning to the United States.

TRAVELING TO MEXICO
Drivo vehicles may not be driven into Mexico. LOCAL RENTERS The rates and mileage shown only apply to renters flying into Newark Airport with proof of round ticket. All other renters will be subject to mileage restriction of 100 miles per day. Unlimited mileage offered additionally, you can ask for it at the counter. Booking information
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice. The deposit required to secure your vehicle (as shown on the secure booking page) will only be processed on your credit card when your booking is confirmed.

A booking is confirmed when you have been emailed a confirmation voucher and at this stage the deposit is processed on your card and becomes non-refundable and any cancellation fees stated in the supplier's terms apply. Upon receipt of your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date.

If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

Amendments
Please note that some suppliers treat an amendment as a new booking and apply the rate current at the time the amendment is made to recalculate the entire booking amount (not just the days changed). If the rental period is increased, an additional deposit may be required. If the rental period is shortened which results in a reduction of the rental charges, the deposit amount will remain unchanged, and the difference between the original and revised deposit is forfeited (it cannot be used towards remaining rental charges). To request a change to a confirmed booking, please use the alterations request link on your confirmation. Any alterations are subject to availability and the approval of the supplier. In addition to the alteration policy of the supplier stated in their terms, the following charges will apply:
Car rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency):
To change dates or times that result in a recalculation of rental rates, or to change vehicles or locations: 25.00
To add or remove extras to/from a confirmed booking: 10.00
The alteration fee will not be charged if your alteration request is not possible.

Vehicle Capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.

Refund Policy
We are committed to providing a quality service and aim for complete customer satisfaction. In the event of cancellation, any refunds or penalties are detailed in the terms and conditions of your selected vehicle that you are asked to read and accept at time of booking. In the event you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due. In the event you have completed your rental and are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to assist you in seeking compensation from the operator of the vehicle.

Debit Cards
In order to use a Debit Card as a method of payment at Time of Rental the following policy must be met -
1. Debit Card must have a Visa, Master Card or Discover logo.
2. Debit Card and Drivers License must be in same name.
3. Renters must present a return airline ticket/confirmation - actual or electronic ticket in renters name - OR If you do not present a return airline ticket/confirmation or your primary residence is within 150 miles of the rental location FOX will check your credit through Equifax Credit Information Services. The inquiry is posted on the customers credit report and may have an effect on the customers credit evaluation. In the event that a customers credit inquiry fails to meet our Debit Card criteria, the customer will not be allowed to rent unless they provide a major credit card in their own name. Address as stated on renters valid drivers license will be referenced to determine renters primary residence.
4. Debit Card must have available funds to be taken as a deposit at time of rental in the amount of -
Return Airline Ticket - estimated amount of rental charges plus USD/150.00.
Credit Inquiry Thru Equifax - renter lives within 150 miles of rental location - USD/150.00 plus estimated amount of rental charges to be taken as a deposit at time of rental. Rental on a credit inquiry is permitted of vehicle classes Economy, Compact, Midsize, Standard, Full-size and Minivan only. Upon return of the vehicle unused funds will be returned through the credit card processor. Due to your Banks processing standards for Debit Card transactions it can take up to 14 days for a credit to appear on your account. FOX will not be responsible for any returned check s or insufficient fund charges or bank fees related to this process.
NOTE - FOX does not allow rentals using a Debit Card to add additional drivers to the rental agreement.
NOTE - Our debit card policy complies with all applicable U.S. federal and State Laws.
NOTE - While debit cards are not accepted for a FOX Pay Now reservation, if we accepted your debit card in error to book your Pay Now reservation and the card is lost, stolen, or replaced by card issuer and cannot be presented at the time of rental, we will accept a valid drivers license and credit card in the same name as the original reservation.

Prepaid cards
Prepaid Visa/MasterCard is not accepted as a form of payment at Time of Rental.

Major credit cards
1. Valid drivers license and credit card must be in the same name.
2. Credit card must have available funds of estimated amount of rental charges plus USD/150.00.
3. At time of rental credit card funds will be taken as a deposit against rental charges. All required available funds will be captured as a deposit at time of rental. Unused funds will be returned through the credit card processor after vehicle return. Due to bank processing it can take between 2 to 5 business days to appear on your account when using this form of payment.
NOTE - Address as stated on renters valid drivers license will be referenced to determine renters primary residence.

Cash rentals
NOTE - Cash is not accepted as a method of payment at time of rental at our Phoenix AZ. or Oakland CA., locations.
In order to utilize CASH as opposed to major credit card as a qualifying Method of Payment at Time of Rental, the following six conditions must be satisfied -
1. Have a reservation - Available on rental of vehicle class Economy thru Full Size only.
2. Present a current valid Passport from a country other than the United States.
3. Present a valid International License along with a current valid license from same country as passport.
4. Present a return airline itinerary with confirmation of return travel date. Vehicle must be returned prior to return date and time of departure as stated on flight confirmation itinerary.
5. In U.S. currency, leave a Cash Deposit of USD/250.00 plus estimated amount of rental charges.
6. A U.S. Contact Phone Number - an operating phone to be contacted in emergency.

AGE

Minimum Age for renters and drivers is 19. Minimum age for renters and drivers on government orders is 18. Renters and drivers under the age of 25 are subject to an underage charge of USD/15.00 per day.

ONE-WAY

One-way rentals are available between FOX CORPORATE locations in Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, Utah and Washington only. Vehicle rentals originating in the state of Florida can only be driven with in the state of Florida. Drop charges vary depending on the location, please contact the Corporate Location at 1 (800) 225-4369 for charges prior to return.

CANCELLATION


If your reservation was confirmed through another provider (booking site, outside source, etc.), please use the same source to cancel your reservation. Some providers (booking site, outside source, etc.) may charge for the cancellation of a reservation if not cancelled within a specific time frame. Cancellation of a reservation directly thru FOX Rent A Car when confirmed thru another provider, may not relieve your responsibility with that provider. In order to alleviate charges (cancellation fee or penalty) check with the provider and cancel the reservation directly with the provider.

HONOR RESERVATIONS

Reservations will be honored for a period of twelve hours after the confirmed pick up date and time.

EARLY LATE RETURN - Your confirmed rental rate applies only to the exact reservation period specified. Returning the vehicle early or keeping the vehicle past the confirmed return date subjects you to a higher daily and/or weekly charge as follow
Early Return - The rate will increase by USD/15.00 per day not to exceed the estimated total at the time of rental.
Later Return - The rate will increase by USD/20.00 per day each day the vehicle is kept beyond the return date at the time of rental.

MULTIPLE or DUPLICATE RESERVATIONS - If you require multiple vehicles for the same or overlapping time periods, please make sure to use a different name for each reservation, otherwise the duplicate name reservation will automatically be cancelled. FOX will not be responsible for any cancelled reservations.

GAS

Fuel Policy - Vehicles must be returned with the same amount of fuel as at the start of the rental to avoid refueling charges.

EQUIPMENT

Child Safety Seats In California, state laws require children eight years of age or younger less than 80 pounds in weight to be in a child restraint device. In Arizona, children five years of age or younger must be in a child restraint device. Driver with children must refer to the current state and city law regarding child passenger safety laws. There is an USD/8.99 per day fee for child seats. If the seat is not returned in the same condition, less normal wear and tear as received, a cleaning fee will be assessed. If the seat is damaged a repair or replacement charge will be applied.

Hand control vehicles Compatibility for hand controls varies by vehicle make/model/manufacturer. FOX Rent A Car locations provide rental services to accommodate all customers and comply with the stipulations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Please call our toll-free number (800) 225-4369 to speak with a Customer Service Representative for questions pertaining to special equipment or requests. Reasonable advance notice is required, our usual need is 72 hours but this period may vary. This policy applies to our US corporate locations only, as accommodation, laws and compliance outside the US varies by location.

GPS Units are available for rent at USD/9.99 per day or at a discounted USD/49.99 per week and USD/149.99 per month. GPS Units are available for just USD/7.99 per day on one-way rentals. Please ask for details at the time of rental.

XM Radio XM Radio is only available on select rental car classes including luxury vehicles. Please ask your local rental agent to confirm if the vehicle you are renting (or wish to rent) is available with activated XM Radio.

OnStar OnStar is only available on select rental car classes including luxury vehicles. Please ask your local rental agent to confirm if the vehicle you are renting (or wish to rent) is available with activated OnStar service.

GEOGRAPHIC

Vehicle rentals originating in the states Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, Utah and Washington can only be driven within the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. Vehicles originated in Florida must remain in the state of Florida.

FOX vehicle may be driven into Mexico, but only if you have purchased Mexico insurance. See MEXICO INSURANCE

Customers may drive a FOX vehicle into Canada, but only if the vehicle was rented from the FOX Seattle location.

TRAVELING TO MEXICO

FOX vehicles are allowed in Mexico cities/states closest to the California and Arizona boarders only when purchasing Mexico Insurance. Please refer to the Mexico Insurance section for the area of coverage that is allowed.

Mexico Insurance

 FOX offers the purchase of Mexico Insurance (Major credit card only) on vehicle rentals of economy thru full size only. Mexico insurance can be purchased at the time of rental prior to entering Mexico at the following corporate locations - Los Angeles, San Diego or Phoenix. Coverage applies only in Mexico cities/states closest to the California and Arizona borders. Rates start at USD/27.00 per 24 hour day including tax. All other vehicles are not allowed to travel into Mexico.

ADDITIONAL DRIVERS

Additional drivers must meet all qualifications as the primary driver in regards to age and license requirements. Additional drivers are not permitted when using a Debit Card or Cash as payment at the time of rental. Charges for Additional Drivers
USD/10.00 per day in Colorado, Florida, Nevada and Utah.
USD/8.00 per day in Arizona and Washington.

There is no charge:
(1) at California locations
(2) for the renters spouse, same-sex spouse, or domestic partner or
for the companion driver of a renter with a disability who cannot operate the vehicle.

RULES

Miles - Rental rates include unlimited miles. Vehicles mileage per gallon is based on manufactures estimates.

Late Returns - The rate will increase by USD/20.00 per day each day the vehicle is kept beyond the return date at the time of rental

Early Returns - The rate will increase by USD/15.00 per day not to exceed the estimated total at the time of rental.

Rental Extensions - If your vehicle is kept longer than the return date stated on the rental agreement (contract), the rate will increase by USD/20.00 per day. To extend the rental agreement, customers must contact the location. If vehicle is kept longer than the return date stated on the rental agreement (contract), the rate will increase by USD/20.00 per day. The increased rate will be charged for each day after expected return date, until the vehicle is returned. Please contact the Extension Department at 1 (800) 225 - 4369. Please refer to the Early/Late Return to avoid additional fees. Customers must go to PHX location in person to extend their reservation.

Drop Off and Fees - If your vehicle is returned to a different office as stated on the rental agreement (contract), you will be charged the one-way drop fee, which varies by drop location. To confirm the drop off fee prior to return, call Customer Service (800) 225-4369

Length of Rental - Rental agreements (contract) cannot be assigned for a period longer than 30 days. If you have reserved the vehicle for a longer period of time, you must go into the location prior to the 31st day and renew the rental agreement (contract). The rate booked is guaranteed for the original duration of the reservation. Returns earlier or later than the return date on the reservation will be subject to a higher daily rate.

Grace Period - A rental day is each 24 hour time period commencing with the date/time indicated on the rental agreement (contract) at the time of rental. There is a 59 minutes grace period for return. Hourly charges may apply after this grace period. After three hours full-day charge may apply.

Rental Requirements - All renters/drivers will be required, at the time of rental, to supply a valid driver license (U.S., or Country License accompanied with an International license and passport), current home address (not P.O. Box), a current home and local contact number, and second contact phone number (cell or business).

Toll Road, Payments and Fees - Renters are always financially responsible for all toll road fees. If you (A) rent or drive a car in the Northern California Bay Area, Florida, Colorado, or the State of Washington, and (B) you utilize an automated toll road (i.e., a toll road without an attendant to collect a cash toll), then you will be charged a USD/2.95 per day convenience fee for each day of the rental including any days on which the service is not used up to a maximum of USD/14.75 per rental month PLUS incurred tolls at the cash rate. YOU CAN AVOID THE CONVENIENCE FEE BY PAYING YOUR OWN TOLLS. If you do not want to pay a convenience fee, then (A) do not use automated toll roads, (B) only use toll roads that accept payment directly from you, or (C) locate local tolling services and purchase your own toll pass.

Midway Car Rental Rental Terms

Acceptable Charge Cards

The charge card must be in the renter’s name. Check or Cash cards are not accepted as credit identification at the beginning of the rental. They can be used however at the end of the rental for payment of rental charges. Prepaid credit cards are not accepted at any time. Debit cards with Visa Logos may be accepted on short term- standard car rentals. Debit cards may not be used for SUV, luxury or Van rentals. A minimum of $350 must be available on a major credit card for a standard car rental. See customer service agent for limits required on specialty vehicles. A minimum of $500.00 must be available on a debit card, proof of residency, utility bill, and current driver's license must accompany it. No debit cards for luxury or specialty vehicles. Acceptable credit cards: American Express, MasterCard, Diners Club, Visa, Discover Card. Please feel free to contact your Midway Car Rental Representative in advance to get an estimate of your credit card authorization.

 

No brand guarantees

Midway Car Rental does not guarantee specific brands or colors of vehicles at any time. If the vehicle that you reserved is not available, an alternate or upgraded vehicle may be assigned at management discretion.

 

Local Policies

One-way rentals are based on availability, must be returned in CA, and a one-way service fee applies. Check with betha@nowcom.com for drop off details. Cars that receive unlimited mileage are approved for unlimited mileage in the state of CA only.
 

Contract Rates

If your vehicle is needed beyond the due date stated at the time of the opening of the contract, the customer MUST return to the original rental office and sign a new contract. The rate is subject to change.  When a vehicle is reserved and rented, the confirmed rate is only good during that specific time period. Any extension or revision of the original reservation of any amount of time will result in a rate change. Rates are not pro-rated.
 

No Show Policy

Reservations are valid and honored for up to three hours after the requested pickup time. If the vehicle is not picked up within three hours of the requested pick up time your reservation status will be changed to a NO SHOW. We ask that you contact Midway Car Rental if you need to change the pickup time of your requested vehicle to avoid any problems.

 
Collision Damage Waiver

In California, the renter is liable for all damage to the Midway Car Rental vehicle regardless of fault. The renter is also liable for loss of use of the vehicle (revenue lost while the car is being repaired).
Renters may purchase Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) which relieves them of all financial responsibility for loss or damage to the Midway Car Rental vehicle as long as they comply with the terms of the rental agreement. In California, CDW does not relieve the renter for theft resulting from failure to use ordinary care. Cost of CDW will vary by car, group and rate. Please check with the rental agent or nearest Midway Car Rental reservation center for details.
If you have rental car coverage through your personal insurance or charge card, CDW offers maximum protection while your personal insurance or charge card coverage may contain a deductible. If you have any questions, check with your insurance provider. Written proof of insurance is required at all of our locations.

Personal Accident Coverage

Personal Accident Coverage provides medical expense benefits to the renter and all passengers in the Midway Car Rental vehicle.
The renter is covered 24 hours a day during the rental for the following: $1,500 medical coverage for injuries due to an accident, $250 for ambulance expenses.

Supplemental Liability Insurance

Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) may be purchased at the time of rental, and provides renter with supplemental insurance coverage from the California State Limits of $35,000 to $1 million.

Insurance and Optional Services

Public Liability and Property Damage: Midway Car Rental meets the financial responsibility laws of the State of California. In California, no liability coverage is provided to the renter/driver unless Renter's Liability Protection is purchased or renter provides proof of insurance as required by state law. Proof of liability coverage is required by state law. Proof of coverage would be your insurance card, or policy page from your personal car insurance policy.

Renter's Liability Protection

Renters may purchase Renter's Liability Protection (RLP) at the time of rental. Liability coverage is required in the state of CA. You must either provide written proof of coverage or purchase. Liability coverage does not cover your rental car, it covers any damage that your vehicle would cause to any 3rd party property. Liability coverage provides third party liability protection for bodily injury ($15,000 per person, $30,000 per accident) and property damage ($5,000) to third parties, as mandated and at the limits required by California. If you purchase the SLI/RLP protection package, it will provide third party liability protection for bodily injury and property damage in excess of any existing insurance, from the states minimum limits to one million dollars. Renters in California who purchase RLP will receive California required liability coverage. Check with the rental agent or nearest Midway Car Rental reservation center for cost and availability of RLP.  Written proof of liability coverage is required at all of our offices if you will be declining our coverage.

WARNING TO RENTERS

WARNING TO RENTERS: Your personal automobile insurance carrier or insurance provided by your credit card company may provide some of the optional coverage€™s listed above. Please check with your insurance carrier and/or your credit card company before you purchase to avoid duplicative coverage. Please be advised that your optional coverage may be void if the damage or loss results from an authorized driver's (A) intentional, willful, wanton, or reckless conduct, (B) operation of the vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol, (C) towing or pushing anything, (D) operation of the vehicle on an unpaved road if the damage or loss is a direct result of the road or driving conditions, (E) used for commercial hire, (F) used in connection with conduct that could be properly charged as a felony, (G) involved in a speed test or contest or in driver training activity, (H) operated by a person other than an authorized driver, (I) operated outside of the United States, (J) renter provided fraudulent information to the rental company, (K) carry hazardous material, or (L) provided false information and the rental company would not have rented the vehicle if it had instead received true information.
 

Driver's License

All drivers must have a valid driver's license in their possession to rent a vehicle. No copies or faxed licenses will be accepted at any time. The original license must be presented and must be in the name of the driver. The renter’s driver’s license must be valid for the entire rental period.
An International Driving Permit (IDP) serves only as a translation of a valid driver’s license. An IDP must always be presented in conjunction with the official driver’s license of the issuing country.
Midway Car Rental will not rent to a holder of a license that restricts them to daytime driving only or to business driving only.
A learner’s permit is not accepted. A valid temporary license is accepted with supporting ID. Expired licenses will not be accepted.

Second Means of Identification

You are required to also present a second means of identification with your signature. Any second means of I.D. with a signature is acceptable; such as a department store card, library card, etc. However, it should not be the same as the credit identification. (For example if you are using American Express for the rental, a different means of identification with a signature must be shown.) LOS ANGELES county residents, picking up a car at the LAX location are also required to bring with them at the time of car pick up, a utility bill from their currently home address with their name on it.  Without this additional means of ID, the car will not be issued.
 

Pick up Policy

Domestic rental reservations will be held 3 hours from the booked rental time before the car is released. International reservations will be held for 4 hours from the booked rental time.
The LAX office is open Mon-Sun :  6am-11pm. If you do not arrive by your scheduled pick-up time, your reservation will be cancelled.

 
Rates and Currency

Rates are in U.S. dollars (USD). The rate of exchange at the end of the rental applies.
Taxes are additional.
Surcharges may apply. Please check at the time of rate information or reservation for the amounts of any applicable surcharges.
Midway Car Rental also offers special negotiated rates for Corporate Association Government Meetings, conventions, weddings, Production Company Studios.

Additional Drivers

At the time of rental an additional driver must be at least 21 years of age, present a valid driver’s license, present a Midway Car Rental honored charge card, complete an additional driver form. For certain vehicles, 25-year-old age restrictions might be in effect. An authorized driver for a disabled renter is exempt from the additional driver credit requirement.
There is no charge for additional drivers for rentals beginning at this location. However, all additional drivers must have their own credit card, in their name, present with them at the time of the rental.
There is no charge for one added driver if over the age of 25.

Special Services

Child Safety Seats are available at this location with a minimum of 24-hour advance booking. The cost of the Child Safety Seat is $10.00 per day. Since availability at times is limited, please reserve child seats in advance.
Ski Racks are not available at this location. Snow Chains are not available at this location. Midway Car Rental vehicles are equipped with all-weather tires

Our rates and you are charged

Our rates are on a 24-hour time clock, and you are given a 59 minute grace period to return your vehicle, before it turns into another day charge.

 
Contract Violations

Contract violations include, but are not limited to: 1. Driving the vehicle outside of CA or NV 2. Driving while intoxicated 3. Towing of any sort 4. Failure to return the rental vehicle by due date 5. Operation of the vehicle by someone who is not listed as an authorized driver on the contract 6. Failure to pay all charges listed on the contract at time of return.

Drop off policy fees

If arrangements are made in advance, you may pick up your vehicle at one Midway Car Rental location and return to another Midway Car Rental location. The drop off fee begins at $35.00. Please contact a location manager for your exact fee.

GPS NAVIGATION SYSTEMS

Most of our vehicles are not equipped with a GPS navigation system. However, GPS systems may be rented at the counter when you rent your vehicle based on availability. For additional questions regarding GPS systems please contact the office directly.
 

Vehicles Leaving California

Midway Car Rental vehicles are permitted to enter California, Nevada, Arizona and Utah only. If your rental agreement states "unlimited" mileage, it is unlimited mileage within these states only. Vehicles are not permitted to enter Mexico at any time.

Routes Rental Terms

Payment
An initial, non-refundable deposit will be secured at the time of booking confirmation. Accepted credit cards are Visa and Mastercard.

Local renters please note this is an airport serving facility and does not rent to local renters. All customers must a valid return itinerary in order to rent.

Additional drivers must meet all requirements of the primary driver and a USD13.50 per day surcharge will apply per additional driver. . Any amendments to the rental agreement must be made and signed for at the rental counter.

After hours drop off is permitted at the location. Renter will be billed to the start of next business day and is responsible for the rental vehicle until inspected by a company representative. Please inquire at the rental counter for further details.

The minimum age of the renter or any additional driver is 24 years and maximum is 73 years with a valid drivers license and major credit card in his or her own name. This must be the same credit card used to book or pay online. Underage drivers 24 and 25 years of age may drive economy through standard size cars and minivans. An underage fee of USD25 per day applies.

Upon return the shuttle will bring you to your designated terminal.

This location is open 24 hrs 7 days a week

If reservation requires a credit card guarantee there is a charge of 25 usd or one day rental amount which ever is higher, if the vehicle is not picked up nor cancelled at least 48 hrs in advance. Cancellations must be through original booking source.

Collision damage waiver eliminates the renter or any authorized drivers of financial responsibility for the rental vehicle in case of an accident as long as the terms and conditions of the rental agreement are met. Cdw is not an insurance - it is a waiver of financial responsibility. If terms of the rental agreement are violated renter or authorized driver is responsible for up to the fair market value of vehicle for any damage or loss of the rental vehicle regardless of fault and for loss of use and administrative fees and diminshed value of the vehicle. Third parties and unauthorized drivers are not covered by CDW. The driver must obtain an accident report from police or CDW will be void. Excluded from CDW are comprehensive losses such as fire theft vandalism flood hail or acts of god. Driving on beaches is not allowed and negligent driving is in violation of the rental agreement. Local and underage drivers must present proof of their own full coverage auto policy in order to rent. Please check with your ins. For state coverage requirements. CDW is USD13.50 per day. .If declining CDW renter must present proof of coverage with dollar amount when using credit card coverage or online insurance. Proof must include name address and policy number of insurer. Renter is responsible for any third party claims. Routes Car Rental maintains the right to refuse to rent if these requirements are not met. Refusal is at the discretion of the counter agent.

Cash and debit card may not be used for deposit but can be used to pay at return of vehicle. A confirmation does not mean you can use your debit card for rental. Do not use your debit cards for online reservations. When refunded or holds are released your bank may take up to 10 business days to return funds to your account.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club and Carte Blanche. Renter must present a valid credit card in his or her own name. A minimum deposit of USD500 or the estimated total plus 30 per cent - whichever is greater - must be available on the credit card.

All drivers must have a valid drivers license from their country of residence. If the license is not in English they must also present a valid international drivers permit and a passport. Local renters must also provide their own transferable auto policy and 3 forms of personal identification such as telephone bill or utility bill not more than 45 days old with no past due and at same address as drivers license. College student must provide college id. May require a verification process.

There are no refunds for early returns

Child seat/infant (0-12 month / 0-13kg) infant seat child seats available upon request for USD10.99 per day child seat/toddler 4-7 years / 15-30 kg) toddler seat please indicate typed of seat needed. Navigational system (built in system) navigational system GPS is available for USD6.99 a day. Request at booking.

Vehicle must be returned at the same level of fuel as rented. A USD25.00 service charge plus fuel cost will apply if not returned at the same level. There is no credit for unused fuel.

Failure to notify location at the time of rental when driving out of originating state may result in additional penalties. Travelling to Canada and Mexico not permitted.

SLI - Supplemental Liability Insurance provides protection of up to one million USD for third party claims after primary liability is exhausted. SLI is USD12.99 per day. PAI - Personal Accident Insurance covers driver and passengers for accidental death and medical-up to USD2500 and ambulance USD500 during the rental period PAI extends to the renter during the rental and to all passengers while entering or exiting or occupying the rental vehicle. Some terms and conditions may appy. PAI is USD4.99 per day. Local renters and underage rentals must provide proof of their own personal insurance in order to rent.

We do not accept local renters and in order to qualify for the rental you need to have a return air ticket (Our agent can ask to see the return air ticket ).

Maximum mileage for all rentals for travelers from outside the Chicago area is 3500 miles regardless period of rental.

Amendments
Please note that some suppliers treat an amendment as a new booking and apply the rate current at the time the amendment is made to recalculate the entire booking amount (not just the days changed). Booking information
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice.

If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

Information disclosure
In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental services.

Vehicle capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.

Refund Policy
In the event of cancellation, any deposit amounts paid at the time of booking are non-refundable. 

Disputes
If you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due. In the event you have completed your rental and are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to assist you in seeking compensation from the operator of the vehicle.
